Ethically-Sourced and Environmentally-Friendly School Uniform – We want your opinions!

Kids are increasingly being taught to enquire how the goods they buy have been sourced, both ethically and environmentally. Many schools are becoming officially Fairtrade and are pursuing green initiatives that create a culture of responsibility and a curiosity to explore the production and supply-chain of many goods. Clothes are one of the main areas that ethical-sourcing focuses on, and school uniform is a major part of what kids wear.

With that in mind, can more be done to ensure parents, schools and retailers are provided with garments that meet the growing demand for ethical and environmental sourcing? Many of these garments carry an additional cost, so will parents as the end consumer foot the bill? Is the demand great enough to justify the extra cost?
